Our Principal Network and Systems Administrator, Fatoumata Sorra, participated in a Seminar on Cybersecurity for African Countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and organized by the Development and Education Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China from 20 May to 2 June 2026.

The seminar brought together government officials, regulators, ICT professionals, and cybersecurity practitioners from various African countries to discuss emerging cybersecurity challenges, digital governance, artificial intelligence, data security, and international cooperation in cyberspace.

The program combined technical lectures, policy discussions, practical case studies, study visits to leading Chinese technology institutions, and cultural exchange activities. It provided participants with a broad understanding of how countries can strengthen cybersecurity while accelerating digital transformation.

The seminar was both educational and timely for both Fatoumata and Gamswitch, particularly given the increasing importance of cybersecurity in supporting digital payments, financial services, digital identity systems, and critical national infrastructure.
