The future of payments demands more than innovation. It demands the right infrastructure, strong partnerships, and a commitment to building systems that stand the test of time.

At MojaCom32 in Ghana, convened in Accra from the 28th September to 2nd October 2026, Gamswitch Team joined the global Mojaloop community to exchange insights, strengthen collaboration, and contribute to conversations shaping the future of instant and interoperable payments.

Representing Gamswitch were our Acting CEO, Baboucarr Drammeh, Chief Technology Officer, Sheriff Ahmed Fadil Sonko, and Chief Operations Officer, Adama Sogur.

Through BANTABA 2.0, The Gambia is advancing its vision of a connected financial ecosystem where banks and mobile money/wallet providers can work together to make digital transactions simpler and more accessible.
As we prepare for the next phase of implementation, we are taking a deliberate approach to strengthening our infrastructure, aligning with national data protection and sovereignty requirements, and laying the right foundation for sustainable expansion.

This is progress with purpose. A stronger foundation today. A more connected Gambia tomorrow.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Central Bank of The Gambia, for their unwavering support, Mojaloop Foundation for bringing the community together and to the Institute for Inclusive Digital Africa (IIDiA) for its continued support throughout The Gambia’s Mojaloop implementation journey.

We remain committed to a future where Gambians can move money instantly, securely, and affordably, across institutions, across platforms, and with greater ease.
