Card Issuance & Management

Physical payment cards remain a critical touchpoint between financial institutions and their customers. Gamswitch's Card Issuance & Management service gives banks and financial institutions across The Gambia the infrastructure they need to run robust, secure card programmes without the complexity of building and maintaining that infrastructure independently.

The service covers the full card lifecycle: from card personalisation and issuance through to transaction authorisation, dispute management, and card replacement. All cards issued through the programme are EMV chip-enabled, meeting international security standards and providing significantly stronger protection against fraud compared to magnetic stripe cards.

Gamswitch supports debit card programmes which are linked to customer bank accounts. All cards operate on the national switch, meaning they are accepted at any ATM or POS terminal connected to Gamswitch.
